Martial arts training equipment can often be as important as the instruction a student receives. There is a variety of equipment available depending on the style and art chosen. The following items are training equipment that are heavily recommended.                       

In the majority of arts, kicking forms a key component of the style’s offensive capabilities. Training bags are extremely important for any martial artists practicing their kicking and punching strikes. Popular bags are often made of durable black vinyl shell and are fiber or sand filled. Heavy duty chains are typically used to insure the weight can be sustained and sewn straps secure the bag for hanging.  Training bags can be available in a variety of colors, but are usually black.  Small sizes usually hold 20 to  25 lbs. Medium sizes are typically weighted for  40 or 50 lbs and large bags will hold 65 pounds and above.
